Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science ———

What This Means for You

For now, you should continue working with us as you do today:

  • Use the SCS Help Center as your primary point of contact for technology support.
  • Continue using existing service request forms available on the SCS Computing Facilities website.
  • Continue working with the specialized SCS support team you know. They remain available as your customer success contacts.

For most members of the SCS community, day-to-day technology support remains unchanged. Much of the work associated with this integration is happening behind the scenes, with a focus on making the transition as seamless as possible.

If future changes affect how you request support, access a service, or work with our teams, we'll communicate those changes in advance and provide clear guidance on any actions you need to take.

Why This Change?

The technology needs of the Griffin School of Computer Science continue to evolve. Strengthening the partnership between SCS and Computing Services allows us to bring together the people, expertise, and resources needed to support those needs both today and into the future. For the SCS community, this means continued support from the people who understand your environment, combined with access to broader resources available through Computing Services.

Supporting the Unique Needs of SCS

We recognize that many areas of SCS have unique technology environments and requirements. The people and expertise that support those needs remain an important part of this partnership. As our teams work together, we remain committed to providing the specialized support the SCS community relies on.
